What are the health & safety practices in regards to COVID-19 at Zion?
Our cleaning staff cleans with CDC approved chemicals between each group’s stay; this includes bedrooms, gathering spaces, door handles, light switches and the kitchen. As usual, each group will be responsible for cleaning their space while they are staying at Zion.
We encourage guests to follow CDC guidelines and socially distance from people outside of their home. When interacting with Zion staff we ask that you wear a mask and social distance in order to protect your own group and future groups.

How many groups can stay at Zion at one time?
At this time, only one group will be allowed to stay at Zion at a time.

We encourage you to wear masks outside and to stay socially distanced from other groups. Following the CDC guidelines, this is the best way to keep yourself and others safe.

What staff will we be in contact with while staying at Zion?
Your primary contact when staying at Zion will be the Zion Retreat Host. The host will maintain social distance and wear a mask when onsite. Your group will be given space as much as possible unless there is an issue that requires the Zion Retreat Host to enter the facility.
We have a Zion staff member who lives onsite, who will give you as much space as possible. Your group will have exclusive access to common areas and the kitchen.

Is there a minimum night stay?
There is no minimum stay at the Zion Retreat Center. Space is subject to availability.

Is your facility wheel chair accessible?
Yes, the Zion Retreat Center is wheel chair accessible and there is one bedroom/bathroom that is ADA accessible. Please contact zion@lutherhill.org to learn more.

Are meals provided at the retreat center?
Guests provide their own meals. The retreat center is equipped with a commercial kitchen and accommodations to feed up to 100 people. The Zion Retreat Center host has a list of recommended caterers in the Galveston area.

Pets are not allowed at the Zion Retreat Center.

Do you have high-speed internet?
Yes, the Zion Retreat Center has high-speed internet.

Do you have to be a part of a church to use the retreat center?
No, Zion Retreat Center is open for private groups as well as businesses, organizations, families, and groups.

The retreat center is located 10 blocks from the beach (the Galveston Seawall) and 1 mile from theme parks and tourist attractions.
